We are looking for a dynamic Head of Engineering to lead their engineering team and drive strategic initiatives at their site in Newport.The Role: As the Head of Engineering, you will be at the forefront of their engineering operations, ensuring the smooth running of the site. This role is perfect for a seasoned engineering professional with a strong technical background and leadership experience. You will oversee a team of 50 engineers, manage the PPM schedules & CAPEX plan, and work closely with operations and new product development to align factory capabilities with their innovative product offerings.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop the engineering strategy, focusing on proactive rather than reactive measures.Oversee effective Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.Collaborate with operations and NPD teams to introduce new products.Manage the CAPEX plan for the site.Ensure the smooth operation of typical FMCG machinery, including conveyors and fabrication facilities.What Were Looking For:Extensive experience in engineering within a similar manufacturing environment.Strong technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Proven leadership skills with experience managing engineering teams.Comfortable with fabrication and buildings maintenance.Ideally, experience within a similar-sized business or operation within FMCG or Food Manufacturing.Benefits:Highly competitive salary & package.Relocation assistance on offer if required.Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme and Grocery Aid.50% discount at various restaurants.Cycle2Work Scheme.If this is of any interest, please apply with your updated CV and a member of our team will get i touch.
