They are looking for a Draughtsman to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis.The Draughtsman will ideally have the following attributes:HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Design, Engineering or similar0-3 years or more of experience in a similar Design / CAD Operation positionKnowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication and welded partsBe proficient using 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environmentExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenProficient using MS OfficeExcellent organisational skills and time management skillsHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary teamThe Draughtsman role will involve:Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsProducing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirementsCommunicating directly with clients to determine requirements Liaising with manufacturing providersBeing involved in final assembly of productsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projectsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
