You'll oversee the technical evolution of our document Q&A system, manage our multi-technology stack spanning Laravel backend, Nuxt frontend, and Python AI services, while driving the scalability of our cloud-native infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:AI & ML Leadership:Lead development of our Python-based AI orchestration application deployed via containerised services with python engineers and your seldManage our multi-modal LLM strategy including Amazon Bedrock integration and self-hosted model deploymentOptimise vector indexing, retrieval systems, and embedding pipelines for document processingImplement advanced prompt engineering, token management, and model evaluation frameworksDrive improvements to our document processing and context-aware response generationEvaluate and integrate both cloud-hosted and on-premise LLM solutions based on client requirementsFull-Stack Platform Leadership:Oversee our Laravel v10 backend architecture with relational databases and distributed queue systemsGuide development of our Nuxt (Vue 3) frontend with TypeScript and modern CSS frameworksManage our React Native mobile app development and cross-platform API integrationEnsure seamless integration between frontend, backend, and AI orchestration layersCloud Infrastructure & DevOps:Lead our serverless and containerised deployment strategies across cloud providersArchitect scalable compute solutions for both web applications and AI workloadsManage multi-database architecture across relational and document storesDesign fault-tolerant systems with automatic scaling and recovery capabilitiesOversee CI/CD pipelines and comprehensive monitoring across all servicesTechnical Leadership:Build and lead a team across full-stack development and AI engineeringEstablish best practices for cloud-native, multi-technology development environmentsDrive architectural decisions spanning web technologies, AI/ML systems, and cloud servicesImplement robust testing, deployment, and monitoring practices across distributed systemsEvaluate emerging technologies and cloud services for platform enhancementRequired Experience & Skills:Computer Science degree or equivalent experience7+ years engineering experience with 3+ years in leadership rolesStrong background in both traditional web development and AI/ML systemsExperience with our core technologies: Laravel/PHP, Vue.js/Nuxt, PythonProven track record with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, but multi-cloud experience valued)Experience with LLM deployment strategies - both managed services (Bedrock, OpenAI) and self-hosted solutionsUnderstanding of vector databases, embedding systems, and retrieval architecturesTechnical Expertise:Full-stack development across modern web technologiesContainerisation (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS, or equivalent)Database design across SQL and NoSQL systemsAPI design, microservices architecture, and distributed systemsCloud infrastructure management and infrastructure-as-codeAI/ML model deployment, monitoring, and scaling strategiesExperience with both cloud-managed AI services and on-premise model hostingLeadership Skills:Track record of building and scaling engineering teamsExperience managing complex, multi-technology product developmentStrong communication skills for technical and business stakeholdersAbility to balance technical debt with feature developmentExperience with vendor evaluation and technology strategy decisionsPackage:Competitive salaryShare Options PackageFlexible working arrangementsLearning and development budgetHealth and wellness benefitsWhy BuildPrompt?
