Based at their Remote Operations Centre in Rotherham, this role supports the real-time optimisation of production assets across multiple international sites.Operating from a 24/7 control room environment, you will use HMI/SCADA systems (including Siemens PCS7) to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of industrial gas production facilities, including Air Separation Units (ASU), HYCO, and CO₂ plants.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage the safe, efficient operation of production plants on a 24-hour basisInterface with sites and product supply teams to meet customer demand while minimising business costsSupport remote plant start-ups, shut-downs, and emergency response scenariosMonitor and manage plant alarms, investigate performance issues, and track KPIsConduct efficiency evaluations to identify performance gaps and recommend improvementsEnsure process safety and compliance are upheld at all timesProduce monthly performance reports and support continual improvement initiativesAssist with the onboarding and training of new sites into the control systemWhat You’ll Bring to The TeamMinimum HNC in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or Chemical Process disciplineSignificant experience in control room operations within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical environmentsFamiliarity with fractional distillation, high-pressure transfer schemes, and pipeline operationsExperience with process interfaces such as SCADA/HMI systems, ideally Siemens PCS7Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs, process schematics, and PFDsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including use of data trending toolsExperience with plant commissioning is advantageousHigh level of personal integrity and a collaborative approach to working within a control room teamEngineering degree preferred but not essential with equivalent practical experienceReady to Take the Next Step?Join a company committed to creating a workforce that reflects the world we live in.
