A leading quantitative trading firm with a strong engineering and collaborative culture is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join their growing Market Technology Operations team.You'll help maintain critical trading infrastructure that covers transactions across global markets. You'll be part of a collaborative group working at the intersection of trading strategy and technology, ensuring systems operate with maximum efficiency and reliability. This position combines technical problem-solving with financial markets knowledge in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Low- Latency trading applications and market data systemsMonitor system health and resolve incidents before they impact trading operationsInvestigate complex data anomalies using both automated tools and manual analysisCollaborate with development teams to implement system improvements and new featuresManage user access and configurations across multiple trading platformsDesign and implement monitoring solutions for early detection of potential issuesCreate and maintain documentation for support processes and troubleshooting guidesParticipate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage of global trading systemsUse the latest technology stacks such as AWS, Java 17, Python 3, HDF5, Kubernetes, Kafka and ArgoCandidate RequirementsYears experience in financial technology support, preferably in electronic tradingStrong understanding of market data structures and exchange connectivityLinux/Unix system administration skillsScripting abilities in Python, Bash, or similar languagesKnowledge of monitoring tools and alerting frameworksSQL experience including queries/updates/table creation/basic database maintenanceExposure to data technologies such as Kafka, Spark or Delta Lake is useful but not mandatBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fieldThis role offers competitive compensation and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge trading technology.
