Senior Project Lead – Swift Delivery ProgrammeLocation: Hybrid (1 day a week on-site in Birmingham)Contract Type: Full-Time, 5 days per weekRate: £350 per day Umbrella, Inside IR35Contract Length: 3 monthsStart Date: ASAPSector: Public Sector / Transport InnovationExperience Required: Project delivery (apps/systems focus), not necessarily Local GovernmentAbout the RoleWe’re seeking a driven and experienced Senior Project Lead to join an organisation in the West Midlands playing a key role in the delivery of SWIFT – the region’s innovative ticketing and mobility solution.As part of the Transport for West Midlands team, you’ll manage end-to-end delivery of significant digital or system-based projects within the Swift Programme. You’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies, private sector partners and innovation communities.Responsibilities:Lead the delivery of Swift projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet time, quality and budget goalsManage the full project lifecycle using structured gated governance and PM frameworksDevelop and monitor detailed project plans and budgetsOversee procurement, contract administration, risk/issue management, and stakeholder reportingCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders, promoting transparency and effective deliverySupport strategic direction and continuous improvement within the projects functionRequirements:Proven experience delivering multiple, complex digital or system-based projectsStrong planning, budgeting, and risk management expertiseEffective stakeholder and supplier management skillsExperience managing public or grant-funded projects is a bonus, but not requiredComfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams in a public sector setting (or equivalent)Knowledge of transport technologies or digital transformation is desirableIf you have the right experience and this sounds like the kind of challenge you're looking for, we’d love to hear from you – apply today!
