Warehouse Operations ManagerBristol£40,000 - £45,000 Base + BenefitsAs a result of continued growth, My client are looking to strengthen the team further by the appointment of an ambitious and driven Warehouse Ops Manager.The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role, with a focus on taking ownership and leading direction of receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products.Ultimately, you should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.ResponsibilitiesStrategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and visionOversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operationsSetup layout and ensure efficient space utilisationInitiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and proceduresAdhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirementsMaintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and securityManage stock control and reconcile with data storage systemPrepare annual budgetLiaise with clients, suppliers and transport companiesPlan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise resultsRecruit, select, coach and motivate employeesProduce reports and statistics regularlyReceive feedback and monitor the quality of services providedRequirementsProven work experience as a warehouse managerExpertise in warehouse management procedures and best practicesProven ability to implement process improvement initiativesStrong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Leadership skills and ability manage staffStrong decision making and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skillsYou will be capable of overseeing and motivating a team of people.You must be able to demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills.You must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.You will have high standards in all aspects of the role and good attention to detailYou will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and adopt a can-do attitude as part of a small busy team
