Title: Technical ManagerLocation: Greater Manchester Salary: Competitive salary depending on experienceTerm: PermanentWorking Hours: As necessary, min 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8.00am-5.00pm, 23 days holiday + 8 statutory bank holidaysSRG is working as an exclusive partner to a leading German owned manufacturer of janitorial, hygiene and home care cleaning products who are now looking for an experienced Technical Manager to join the team in Greater Manchester. You would be responsible for the management of the quality control and quality assurance and quality management systems (QMS), technical audits, new product development, sustainable packaging solutions and much more. Due to this company’s strong presence in Europe, you would work alongside German colleagues to ensure product excellence and compliance across the UK, German, and other European markets. This role would suit candidates with several years’ experience within the biocides, homecare, and household product manufacturing industry.Role / DescriptionLiaise and collaborate with German colleges on regulatory changes, product development and sustainability and quality across the groupProvide regulation and technical approval on products across the UK, German, and other European marketsCreation and maintenance of quality management systems used across the entire businessBuild lasting relationships with trade associations and regulatory agencies keeping up to date with industry/legislation changesManage raw material SDS (safety data sheets) and PIF’s (product information files), artwork changes and audits in accordance to REACH/CLP/GHS regulationsWorking with various stakeholders in the business you will be person of contact for new product and packaging developmentFormulate and develop leading laundry / detergent productsManagement, growth and development of the staff on the manufacturing site (9 direct reports)Environmental management of non-hazardous and hazardous waste on siteLead continuous improvement and change management through the technical and quality teamBuild, recruit, train and manage your teamSite health and safety, maintaining a safe working environment for allRequirementsMinimum HNC in scientific disciplineRecent industrial experience managing busy operationsRecent experience working in a FMCG Manufacturing EnvironmentHands on experience managing QC / QA operationsVery good written and verbal communication skillsFull Driving Licence, willing and able to travel at short noticeFull right to work in the UK – There is no sponsorship available with this roleSRG is the UK’s number one recruitment company specialising in the scientific, engineering, clinical, pharmaceutical, food/FMCG, energy & renewables, biotech, chemical and medical device sectors.If you would like to apply for this position, please use the link provided.
