Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of a globally recognised engineering and manufacturing business in Sheffield to appoint a Head of Projects to lead major capital investment programmes across their operation.This is a high-profile role, sitting as part of the senior leadership team and responsible for delivering complex, business-critical projects across heavy engineering and manufacturing environments.The client will consider both permanent and interim/consultant applicants, depending on experience and availability.You’ll take full accountability for planning, execution, and delivery of a multi-year capex pipeline, leading a team of project managers and engineers to ensure safety, quality, and commercial targets are met.Key responsibilities:Lead the delivery of large-scale capital projects (£10m+), from concept through to completionDevelop and maintain robust project plans, budgets, and risk registersEngage with internal stakeholders, group-level leadership, and external partners to ensure alignment and deliveryProvide leadership and oversight to the internal project team and supply chainEnsure projects meet all HSE, quality, and regulatory standardsDrive continuous improvement in project governance and executionReport regularly on progress, risks, and performance to the boardWhat you'll need:Proven experience delivering high-value capital projects in heavy engineering or manufacturingA degree in Engineering or a related technical disciplineFormal project management qualifications (e.g. Prince2, APM, PMP)Strong leadership capability with the confidence to engage at all levelsA commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder environmentsComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving setting with a hands-on approachThis is an opportunity to lead meaningful transformation for a well-invested and ambitious organisation with a strong reputation in global markets.To find out more or arrange a confidential chat, get in touch.
