Learning & Development ManagerLocation: YorkSalary: c£54,000 FTEContract: Part-Time, PermanentHours: 22.5hrs a week – exact days and hours to be agreed with the successful candidateWe are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to help shape the future of the JRF workforce and support the delivery of their People Plan.About the RoleThis is a unique standalone opportunity for an experienced L&D professional to play an integral role in shaping and modernising JRF’s approach to learning and development. You will be responsible for designing and delivering a range of strategic and operational L&D initiatives across JRF—supporting a diverse workforce of approximately 160 people.You’ll work closely with senior leaders, Group Shared Services, and the Union partners, delivering multiple workstreams and ensuring the People Plan translates into meaningful action.You must be happy and comfortable with focusing on getting the basics right and in place first. Before being able to fully unleash your creativity!Key ResponsibilitiesReview any existing related processes – identifying whether they are fit for purpose and making appropriate changes if notLead the development and implementation of L&D initiatives within the People Plan, setting and tracking KPIs to measure impactDesign and deliver a forward-thinking schedule of learning solutions that meet organisational and individual development needsOversee the staff survey process, and work with senior leader and People Team colleagues to ensure meaningful action is taken in response to resultsDevelop and implement a strategic HR communications and engagement planManage the induction programme and mandatory training across JRFIdentify, design, and deliver management and leadership development interventionsMaximise the use of the Apprenticeship LevySupport wellbeing initiatives in partnership with our EDI teamContribute to organisation development and succession planning strategiesMaintain and develop a fit-for-purpose appraisal systemAbout YouA proven track record of delivering a broad range of L&D initiativesStrong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple workstreamsStrategic and operational agility—comfortable shifting between big-picture thinking and hands-on deliveryExpertise in evaluating learning effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative dataExcellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skillsA creative and innovative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvementA strong personal commitment to equity, diversity and inclusionInterested?If you're ready to make a real impact and help shape the future of JRF’s learning culture, we’d love to hear from you.Please apply with your up to date CV via email: quoting reference PR/010369
