SRG are excited to be partnered with a global organisation who are at the forefront of health and environmental research to help them find an experienced Analyst to join their busy lab team.We are looking for someone with strong hands on industrial laboratory skills and experience in any of the following; HPLC, GC, GC-MC and/or ICP, and is ready for a new challenge with excellent development opportunities.The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and excellent benefits package as well as a chance to further develop their technical and problem solving skills.The Role:Overseeing analysis using Chromatography and ICPPreparing and analysing samples for our clients using a variety of instruments including: HPLC/UV/ECD, GC, GC-MS, IC and ICP etcReporting analytical results and cross checks as required and in line with lab operating proceduresChecking and authorising reports written by Laboratory AnalystsCompleting routine laboratory support functions as part of the wider team including general housekeeping, apparatus cleaning and maintenanceTroubleshooting and problem solving where requiredFollowing the company quality system requirements including compliance with ISO 17025 (UKAS Accredited)Requirements:Relevant scientific degree or equivalent hands on experience in a similar fieldExperience of running HPLC, GC, GC-MS or ICP instrumentation within a commercial labExcellent organisational and communication skillsExperience of working efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environmentExperience of a range of ICT including Microsoft Office and databasesPunctual, reliable and aims for high standards in their workWorks well as part of a small teamSupervisory experience or delegating workloads would be beneficial but not essentialCompany benefits:Flexible working35 days annual leave including public holidaysGroup personal pensionIncome ProtectionDeath in ServiceAccess to flexible benefits & rewards platformEmployee Assistance Programme including wellbeing hub and access to a 24hr helpline and counselling serviceOn-site parking
