About the Company:Our client are a global leader in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions on a worldwide basis across multiple consumer related markets.Role Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced General Manager to lead and manage one of our clients flagship sites. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of site performance — from operations, safety, and quality, through to commercial performance and P&L accountability. The ideal candidate will be a proven operational leader with a deep understanding of manufacturing environments, coupled with strong commercial acumen and a strategic mindset.Key Responsibilities:Full P&L responsibility for the site, ensuring financial performance meets or exceeds targetsLead, develop and inspire a multi-functional leadership team across production, engineering, supply chain, quality, HSE, HR, and commercial functionsDrive operational excellence and efficiency through Lean/CI methodologies and data-driven decision-makingChampion a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and employee engagementWork closely with commercial teams to support key customer relationships and identify opportunities for growth and margin improvementDevelop and implement strategic plans in line with the broader business objectivesEnsure full compliance with regulatory, environmental, and corporate standardsReport regularly to executive leadership, providing insights on performance, opportunities, and risksCandidate Profile:Proven track record in a senior operational leadership role within manufacturing, ideally within the packaging or a related process-driven industryStrong understanding and hands-on experience of managing P&L in a complex, high-turnover environmentCommercially astute with the ability to align operational execution with business strategyExceptional leadership skills with a collaborative and empowering management styleDeep knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologiesExcellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management abilitiesDegree qualified in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline (MBA advantageous)
