The finance team is growing, and they’re now looking for an Accounts Assistant to support their day-to-day operations.You’ll be reporting directly into a brilliant Head of Finance (who we placed with the business!), known for being supportive, approachable, and an absolute joy to work with. This is a great opportunity to work closely with a hands-on manager and a team that genuinely cares about doing things well—while enjoying the journey.The RoleYou’ll play a vital role in supporting the finance function—owning processes across both accounts payable and receivable, keeping everything accurate and on track. You’ll be joining during an exciting growth phase and will have the chance to make a real impact on how things are run.The role will initially be office-based two days a week to help you settle in and connect with the team. Once you're up to speed, you'll have the freedom to work mainly remotely, with flexibility around hours and ways of working.What You’ll Be DoingAccounts PayableProcess and verify supplier invoices and staff expensesMatch invoices to purchase orders and CRM dataManage payment runs and ensure supplier records are up to dateReconcile statements and handle queriesAccounts ReceivableRaise and issue client invoices via CRMMonitor aged debt and follow up on overdue balancesReconcile payments and support cash flow forecastingLiaise with clients and the commercial team on billing queriesWhat We’re Looking ForExperience in both accounts payable and receivableProficiency in Sage 50 and/or XeroStrong Excel skills and general Microsoft Office competenceComfortable using CRM platforms (Zoho/Hubspot a plus)Excellent attention to detail and organisational skillsPositive, self-motivated and happy working independentlyA friendly team player who enjoys being part of a collaborative environmentSalary & BenefitsSalary up to £30,000 depending on experience and working hours25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and office closure over ChristmasSubsidised private healthcareLife insuranceCycle to work schemeEye care benefitsOngoing training and developmentAccess to mental health and wellbeing toolsApply NowIf you’re an experienced finance professional looking for a warm, flexible, and modern workplace where your skills will be valued, we’d love to hear from you.
