Citadel Source are delighted to be working with an SME property business, based in central Bristol, who are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Finance Manager reporting to the Managing Director.The roleThis role will play a vital part within the organisation moving forward, bringing financial know how to a growing business, taking the reins from the current incumbent and continuing to drive financial efficiencies, controls and bringing a continued improvement approach to utilising data. This role will manage a small team of part qualified accountants.About youThe successful candidate will be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience and will have demonstrable experience working with small businesses, either in an advisory capacity (I.e. small practice working alongside multiple clients) or within a SME business in a leadership capacity, (such as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller) utilisation of smaller business systems such as Xero or Sage 50 is useful.As a Finance Manager, your role will include, but not be limited to:Managing and developing a small accounting teamOverseeing all financial processing systems, including Sales ledger, Purchase ledgerPayroll, Cash & Bank, Office Management and General ledger, reporting directly to the DirectorsQuarterly VAT returns and P11D submissionsResponsibility for the Finance IT systems - both infrastructure and applicationMonthly, quarterly and annual reporting on the companies, including the partnership and subsidiary companies (MI including P&L forecasting, cash flow forecasting and ad hoc reporting on various KPIs)Budgetary planning and controlManage the year-end audit process and preparation of statutory accountsPreparation of Financial information for third partiesTreasury ManagementAccurate inventory/stock reportingInsurance renewalsCapital asset managementCarry out projects to reduce financial risks and improve efficienciesProvide accurate and useful financial data and data analysis to support strategic decision-makingResearch and report on factors influencing business performanceLiaising with external stakeholders to ensure statutory reporting is delivered on time and seamlesslyArranging competitive sources of finance for the company's debt facilitiesKeeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislationWhat the client has to offerA salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annumCasual dress25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)Company pensionFree on-site parkingIf you are interested in this role, please reach out to Oliver Price at Citadel Source.
