Health, Safety, Environmental & Facilities ManagerAlexander Steele has partnered with a leading Food Manufacturer that is looking for a Health, Safety, Environmental & Facilities Manager. It is a key leadership role, guiding their compliance, environmental, and people safety strategy across the site.Location: KentSalary: Up to £49,000 plus Performance related bonusHours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm (Onsite)Job PurposeThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and wants to be part of a company that values continuous improvement and employee wellbeing.General Responsibilities:Ensure a safe, legally compliant working environment for all staffDevelop and maintain H&S policies, procedures, and risk assessmentsLead incident investigations and drive corrective action plansCoordinate site inspections, audits, fire drills, and lone-working protocolsChampion the Environmental & Sustainability strategy, aligning with wider business goalsOversee facilities maintenance, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective deliveryMentor and support the Environmental & Sustainability CoordinatorLead H&S committee meetings and deliver internal training sessionsCollaborate closely with Production, Technical, HR, and other business functionsManage onboarding inductions for new and agency staffStay current with HSE regulations and best practicesExperience, Knowledge and QualificationsNEBOSH General Certificate (essential)3+ years’ experience in H&S management within manufacturingStrong working knowledge of H&S, COSHH, and environmental legislationBackground in industrial/manufacturing environmentsConfident team leader with strong communication skillsFull UK driving licence and full right to work in the UK
