Alongside our core construction services, we have a growing waste management business expanding across the Southwest and Wales.Joining MJ Church offers an exciting and challenging opportunity for driven individuals seeking professional and personal growth in a dynamic, results-focused environment.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team on an infrastructure scheme along the A350 in Chippenham. This opportunity is for an immediate start, so we welcome freelance or permanent applicants. This role will support the safe and efficient delivery of the project, responsible for technical aspects on-site and ensuring works are conducted in line with design, quality, and programme requirements.Key responsibilities include:Carrying out all setting out and site measurement activitiesSetting out for drainage, earthworks, services, kerbs, edgings, and surfacingUsing GPS and total station equipment to ensure accuracy and complianceReceiving and managing all setting out data provided by the Section EngineerCapturing survey data on site and supplying it to the Section Engineer for processingReading and working from technical drawings and specificationsEnsuring quality, safety, and programme requirements are metWho you areYou are a reliable and knowledgeable engineer with a background in highways, infrastructure, and civil engineering. You work well under pressure, are confident managing setting out independently and have a strong understanding of UK highway construction techniques.Key Skills:HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering or equivalentCSCS card; SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)At least 5 years of experience on highways schemesStrong surveying experience and background in earthworksCompetent with AutoCAD, GPS, and total station equipmentSound understanding of CDM and construction processes.Full UK driving license.What we offerSalary up to £45,000 dependant on experience (freelance candidates also considered)Company vehicleOn Site parkingCompany pensionHoliday buy and sell scheme.Please note that unfortunately we are unable to sponsor visa candidates.
