Senior R&D Tax ConsultantWe are looking for an ambitious R&D Tax Consultant to join our industry leading client. This is truly fantastic opportunity to join a firm offering an outstanding workplace culture and some of the most attractive benefits on the market!Up to £65k + bonusThe roleIdentifying qualifying R&D activities and expenditure through participation in technical & financial discussions with clients for new and repeat claimsLeading R&D discussions/workshops on clients, providing a clear explanation of the definition of R&D for tax purposes and discussing in detail, sector specific examples of qualifying activitiesManaging client & stakeholder relationships both internally and externallyProactively demonstrating that you can identify risks in claimsCompiling technical & financial project reports to illustrate eligible activities to support R&D claims with strong attention to detail and first-time accuracyProject managing day to day aspects of the claims, setting timescales for delivery, talking confidently with clients to explain various judgements made in claim compilation and their implicationFormulating an initial response to defending claims in the event of HMRC R&D enquiriesDeveloping your own knowledge and skills in R&D tax relief and other related issues, to keep technical knowledge fully up to date in this evolving landscapeSkills and personal qualities:Minimum 2-3 years work experience in the R&D Tax industryEither a financial and technical backgroundStrong project management skills and experienceComfortable with stakeholder managementA logical, enquiring and problem-solving mindsetStrong commercial awareness and great communication skillsExceptional organisational skills and attention to detailGood knowledge of what HMRC is looking for in reportsThe will to make a difference and interest in shaping your career within R&D TaxA genuine interest and curiosity in Science, Technology & InnovationThe capabilities to deliver innovative solutions to complex challengesAn interest in your own personal developmentThe flexibility to take on change, shifting tasks and priorities when circumstances dictate (hint: this happens a lot in a fast-paced consultancy)You will want to make a marked impact on the UK innovation landscapeFor more information on this fantastic role, please apply, or contact Ben Worsley via email or Linkedin.
