About the RoleYou’ll be the central point of contact for all Health, Safety & Wellbeing matters on site—leading, coordinating, and promoting a proactive safety culture across the project. Key Responsibilities:Lead all site-based HSW initiatives and act as the project’s health & safety leadCascade key HSW communications, lessons learned, and performance reports to site teamsChair regular Health & Safety meetings, ensuring actions are implemented and trackedConduct Site Safety Inspections and record findings using digital platforms (e.g., Novade)Assist in developing RAMS and specialist risk assessments with subcontractorsEnsure the Construction Phase Plan and all CDM obligations are metDeliver behavioural safety briefings and training across the project teamAnalyse trends from inspections and incident reports to drive continual improvementReview compliance documents from subcontractors and track performanceSupport investigations into incidents, accidents, and near misses in line with company proceduresProvide regular reports to senior management on key safety metrics and legal complianceRequirements:Significant experience as a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager within the construction industryStrong understanding of UK construction legislation, CDM, and compliance proceduresExperience working on public sector or secure projects is advantageousConfident leading meetings, delivering training, and liaising with stakeholdersProficient in using digital safety systems such as Novade or Dalux (advantageous)NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualifications (essential)Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skillsAbility to manage own workload and support site teams in a fast-paced environmentWhat is on offer:Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience and qualificationsGenerous car allowancePrivate medical (individual cover)26 days annual leave plus bank holidays Pension matched up to 7.5%Family friendly benefits
