JOB- Mechanical Design EngineerLOCATION- CrawleyTERM- PermanentSALARY- £35,000 to £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Premier Engineering is currently working with a well-established engineering company based in Crawley who are looking to expand their design team. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a range of bespoke and high-precision equipment.The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:A degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a similar disciplineExperience in mechanical design, ideally with bespoke machinery, automation, or special purpose equipmentStrong 3D CAD skills (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo)Good understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacture (DFM)Ability to produce detailed engineering drawings and documentationStrong problem-solving abilities and communication skillsComfortable working both independently and within a collaborative teamThe Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:Designing mechanical components and assemblies from concept through to productionCreating and updating 3D models and 2D drawingsWorking closely with production and project teams to ensure accurate design executionParticipating in design reviews and product development meetingsSupporting prototyping and testing activitiesAssisting in continuous improvement initiatives across the design functionIf you are a Mechanical Design Engineer based near Crawley and looking for a new opportunity, please apply with your latest CV, along with your availability and salary expectations.
