Job descriptionAs a Storage Solution Engineer you will be working with MOVU - an automated pallet shuttle system and required to carry out the following duties:Reporting to the Site / Operations ManagerWorking within the site team, maintaining a fully automated MOVU systemTo adopt and support company quality objectives, follow / work within all Health and Safety legislation and guidelinesEnsure that Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) is carried out effectively, to thecorrect standard, and on timeDiagnose and correct faults on MOVU system to achieve efficient operational throughputsMaintain performance of the engineered solution, identifying, diagnosing, rectify faults / issuesEnsure Company Quality objectives and Health and Safety legislation is adhered toAble to work confidently at all levels of heightEnsure all weekly statutory / compliance requirements are completed and up to dateLiaising with various suppliers and contractorsCompleting administrational duties within the department, to monitor spares usage, complete stock checksWorking on a shift basis as required, to cover the site operationMaintain hygiene levels within the Engineering Department & siteAptitudes and abilities:A qualified Electrical / Electro/mechanical EngineerFlexibility and a high level of self-motivation are a must in what is a time criticaloperationMust be able to work shifts to support operational coverMust possess excellent communication and administration skillsGood problem solving skills with a logical approach are essentialAble to work in a team and as an individualHave the ability to work within a high-pressure environment and able to react in manner that will not impact on any customer requirementsAble to work confidently at all levels of heightEnthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills for future development roles through appropriate training coursesKnowledge/ Experience:Competencies would ideally be split 70/30 electrical/mechanical biasPLC knowledge is requiredExperience in working on automated pallet systemsSuccessful completion of HND in Engineering or an equivalent qualification is a minimum requirementWorking hours will be Monday to Friday, with negotiable 8 hour shifts (no night shifts).Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £44,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionOn-site parkingSchedule:Day shiftMonday to Friday
