To support that journey, we’re hiring a Finance Manager to help us stay financially sharp, operationally efficient, and strategically focused.This is a pivotal role for a commercially astute, hands-on Finance Manager who thrives in high-growth environments. You’ll work closely with the Founder, Managing Director, and Business Operations Director to lead financial operations, reporting, and strategy. From managing cash flow and modelling growth scenarios to improving systems and delivering key insights, you’ll be right at the centre of the company’s scale-up story.Main Accountabilities:Finance Operations & ComplianceLead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closesOwn monthly reconciliation across all revenue streams (D2C, B2B, Amazon, Manufacturing)Maintain and improve financial processes across AP, AR, payroll, VAT, PAYE, and HMRC complianceLiaise with external accountants and manage all statutory filing deadlinesProvide leadership and development opportunities for the existing finance team memberCommercial Finance & Cost ControlTrack and report on operating cash flow, burn rate, COGS, contribution margin, and gross margin by channelAnalyse key metrics including CAC, LTV, payback periods, and working capital efficiencyOversee inventory valuation, stock management, and cash conversion cyclesPartner with Sales and Ops to optimise pricing strategies and scenario-based forecastingStrategic Insight, Reporting & ForecastingDeliver timely monthly management accounts, KPI dashboards, and internal board packsLead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cyclesOwn cash flow forecasting and long-range scenario modellingProvide actionable insights to support strategic decisions and drive profitability, efficiency, and growthMaintain clear visibility across P&L, balance sheet, and inventory performance Systems & Process ImprovementsOptimise financial systems and internal controls (currently NetSuite, under review)Lead improvements to reporting workflows and integrationsSupport ERP transition and new tool implementationDesign and implement scalable, future-proof finance processes What We’re Looking For3–5+ years’ experience in finance roles, ideally in FMCG, eCommerce, or manufacturingACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent practical experience)Strong commercial mindset with proven experience in forecasting and scenario planningAdvanced Excel/Sheets capability and ideally some experience of  ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite)Clear, confident communicator who can simplify complex financials into actionable insightComfortable working autonomously in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environmentExperience with Shopify, Amazon, or multi-channel retail is a plusWhat You’ll GetCompetitive salary + performance bonusKey leadership role with direct impact on company strategyFlexible hybrid working, with HQ based near GatwickVisibility across all business areas — from E-comm to manufacturingA fast-paced, high-ownership environment built for ambitious operatorsClear progression to Financial Controller or Finance Director as we scale Schedule:Office-based (on site): Monday to Friday 09:30 – 17:30         The SIMPLE COMPANY is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment, where all of our employees have equal access to opportunities and everyone’s voices are heard.
