The CompanyOXBO are working with one of the most exciting international renewable energy (Solar, BESS & Onshore Wind) IPPs, headquartered in the UK to add an experienced Design Manager to their development team.The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for designing large scale solar PV and energy storage systems.ResponsibilitiesThe production of high-quality designs and specifications for solar PV and BESS systems.Review and approve our development teams designs, schematics, and layouts, ensuring compliance with project requirements, standards, and regulations.Coordinating and completing designs primarily using AutoCADCollaborate with project managers to align design deliverables with project timelines and budgets.Provide technical guidance during the project lifecycle, from initial concept to installation and commissioning.Ensure all designs meet industry standards, local regulations, and health & safety requirements.Act as the primary point of contact for technical queries from clients, suppliers, and internal teams.RequirementsStrong technical knowledge of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to include design principles, components, and grid integration.Strong knowledge of design software including AutoCAD and PVSyst.Knowledge of SCADA and PPC’s5+ years of experience in solar PV system design and engineering.HV/LV connection knowledgeFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, BS EN).Maintaining documentation accurately and updating QMS.
