Their wearable devices are redefining possibilities in patient care, blending innovative design with real-world impact.As part of their continued growth, they are now looking for a talented Firmware Development Engineer to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid track record in embedded systems, particularly within highly regulated sectors like MedTech, aerospace, or automotive.In this role, you'll take the lead on designing, developing, and fine-tuning firmware for next-generation wearable devices. You’ll work at the intersection of precision engineering and real-time performance, ensuring every line of code meets the highest standards for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded systems using STM32 microcontrollersImplement and optimise RTOS (FreeRTOS) and embedded communication protocols (Bluetooth BLE, I2C)Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards including IEC 62304 & ISO 13485Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and regulatoryLead firmware reviews, debug issues, and drive performance and reliability improvementsMaintain clear and thorough documentation across development and testing processesQualifications and Skills:Strong C++ experience in commercial-grade firmware for embedded systemsSolid understanding of STM32 architecture, RTOS, and low-power systemsProficiency in Bluetooth BLE and serial communication protocols (e.g. I2C)Experience building firmware that interfaces with iOS/Android via BLEKnowledge of regulated environments and applicable standards (e.g. IEC 62304, ISO 13485)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and embedded cybersecurityThis is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing MedTech company at the forefront of wearable healthcare innovation.
