The successful candidate will bring an innovative and creative approach to supporting the strategic direction and development of the SEN provision at Bestwood Village School. This role involves being an active member of the senior team, focusing on conducting assessments and referrals for new students in collaboration with the Admissions Team and Local Authorities. Additionally, the candidate will conduct EHCP annual reviews for students. We are looking to appoint an outstanding, innovative, and determined SENCO to lead the strategic development of Special Education Needs provision with the tenacity to turn ideas into reality. The ideal candidate should have demonstrable experience in improving the quality of provision in a leadership role, with a proven record of impact regarding SEN and success in achieving progress for disadvantaged students, alongside strategic vision and commitment. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent management, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to support teams in working collaboratively, showing commitment to ensuring equality of opportunity and accountability for all. You do not need to hold a SENCo Qualification but should be willing to undertake one with our support. Evidence of continuing professional development and relevant qualifications. Ability to demonstrate good classroom and behaviour management. QTS qualification.
