This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to grow their career and make a real impact in construction health and safety.As a Health and Safety Manager, you will support the delivery and ongoing improvement of health and safety practices across multiple commercial fit-out projects. You will conduct site visits, carry out audits, and collaborate closely with project teams to foster a strong, positive safety culture.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, internal standards, and best practicesReview contractor risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) on a sample basisInvestigate incidents and near misses; compile detailed reports and suggest corrective actionsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, incidents, and training activitiesEngage with site managers, subcontractors, and clients to promote and maintain safe working conditionsSupport data collection, KPI monitoring, and safety performance analysisAssist in the preparation and delivery of training sessions and presentationsProvide occasional out-of-hours and weekend support when requiredHelp update health and safety documentation, policies, and proceduresSupport the maintenance of company accreditations (e.g. ISO 45001, RoSPA, Constructionline Platinum, SafeContractor, Once For All SSIP)Essential Qualifications & ExperienceNEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and SafetyTechnical Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH)SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)First Aid at Work CertificationFull UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicleUp to 3 years experience in the construction industry (interior fit-out experience preferred)Key Skills & AttributesSolid understanding of UK health and safety legislationStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesConfident in engaging with both site personnel and senior leadershipFlexible with availability for weekend and out-of-hours work if neededCompetent in using Microsoft Office applicationsFamiliarity with SafetyCulture (iAuditor) is a plus, but not requiredWhat We OfferOngoing training and career development, including CPD opportunitiesA collaborative and supportive team environmentOpportunity to work on high-profile interior fit-out projectsReimbursement for mileage and travel expensesPrivate medical insurance (including access to a private GP)Employee Assistance ProgrammeCompany pension schemeDiscounts on gym memberships, shopping, cinema tickets, and moreAnnual mini health checks
