Your insights will help ensure Conservative MPs, Shadow Cabinet members, and Party staff are kept fully informed of the latest developments and narratives shaping the political landscape.Areas of responsibilityUse digital tools for media monitoring, summaries, and coveragereportsMonitor key media outlets, including during morning, evening and late cycles, and flag relevant developments to Press OfficersUnderstand the media landscape; track where political narratives are developing, including real-time developmentsSupport delivery of daily summaries, social media content, and urgent developmentsSupport the Leader of the Opposition and Shadow Cabinet events and visitsEnsure high accuracy in monitoring outputs, summaries, and transcriptsShare relevant monitoring insights with other teams (Campaigns, Research) across daytime and evening shiftsAssist the wider Press Office with rapid rebuttal, quote drafting and content creationOtherAssist with urgent press handling during late hours as required by the needs of the team and the PartyProvide holiday cover for other members of the team in accordance with the holiday cover scheduleUndertake weekend working and early morning shifts as part of a rotaEstablish and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholdersKeep any professional qualifications up to dateProfessional experience and qualificationsDemonstrable experience of developing and producing high quality contentExcellent attention to detail and exceptional written abilityHighly organised and self-motivatedStrong communication and transcribing skillsExcellent time management and the ability to prioritiseThe ability to work under pressure to tight deadlinesA commitment to the Conservative Party and to supporting the programme of Renewal.Some experience of working in a political environmentExperience with social mediaPrior political experience not essential however, a sound knowledge of current affairs and political awareness is essentialSkills requiredExcellent relationship building and influencing skills with the ability to tailor message and style appropriatelyCreative, with a strong ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to problems and opportunities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to organise and prioritise a demanding workload personallyA personal commitment to the values of the Conservative PartyWhilst not essential, the ideal candidate will also have good digital skills, including video and graphics production, as well as social media managementWhat benefits do you get working at CCHQ?Here at CCHQ, we value our colleagues and the work they do for us.In return we offer a wide variety of benefits for our colleagues that you can utiliseWe offer a generous 25-day annual leave, pro-rated for part time staff and all UK bank holidays off3 days additional leave in the year if you marry or enter a civil partnershipEnhanced Maternity/Paternity LeaveWellness programmesProfessional/personal development
