The post holder will ensure the safe and effective running of the dispensary, meeting the organisations timeframes for medication dispatch, managing queries & complaints.Role Duties:Verifying the patients name, drug name and strength, dosage form and prescribers authenticity on the prescriptionClinically screening prescriptionsEnsuring adherence to SOPs to medication handling, storage, dispensing and documentationConfirming proper storage of medication according to their specific requirements, such as temperature, light exposure and humidityMaintaining detailed records of medication dispensed to patients, including the patient name, drug name, dosage, duration of treatment, medications expiry date and repeat historyQualification/Experience for Role:Masters degree in pharmacy or equivalentValid GPhC registrationExperience using MS Office (Excel)Extensive experience working as a qualified pharmacist, ideally within a UK hospital settingExperience leading or managing a team desirableAbout Mamedica:Mamedica is a private clinic, with linked pharmacy, which specialises in assisting patients who may not have found satisfactory results for their conditions via their existing medications.We work with consultants specialising within pain, psychiatry, neurology, palliative care and cancer, so our patients can receive their prescribed medication directly to their door, via next-day delivery service.Our prescribed medicines are produced and manufactured according to the pharmaceutical-grade EU-GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice.)Additional Information:Mamedica may receive a higher-than-anticipated number of applications for this role, such that it may not always be possible to provide individual feedback to all applications.Applicant shortlisting and interviews may be taking place whilst the role is still being advertised, which may mean that this advert may close sooner than expected.
