This isnt about box-ticking or doing things the way theyve always been done. Its about pushing for better, more sustainable outcomes in an industry thats evolving fast.Were not necessarily looking for someone with deep decommissioning experience (though it helps). What really matters is a strong environmental mindset, good regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work closely with teams and regulators to make sure everythings done properly, efficiently, and in line with what the planet needs.The Role:Youll be part of the decommissioning team, providing environmental and regulatory support across a range of offshore projects. Its a varied role where youll be drafting permit applications, managing compliance systems, reviewing internal procedures, and liaising with the likes of OPRED, the NSTA, and HSE.Youll also help lead on things like Environmental Appraisals, risk assessments (HAZIDs/ENVIDs), and contribute to sustainability improvements, whether thats better bird management offshore or finding smart ways to reuse equipment.What Were AfterWere open-minded about your background, but ideally youll have:A strong environmental focus, and genuine interest in sustainable engineering.Experience working with or within regulatory bodies (HSE, OPRED, EA, etc.) or heavily regulated industries like oil & gas, chemicals, or infrastructure.Great attention to detail and excellent written communication youll be summarising technical info clearly and accurately.Confidence working across teams and functions, and the drive to keep things moving.Comfortable managing systems and processes like PLANC, or willing to learn quickly.Nice to Have (But Not Essential)Decommissioning or offshore project experienceFamiliarity with ISO standards (9001 / 14001 / 45001) or SEMS systemsExperience coordinating audits or sustainability initiativesWhy Apply?This is a chance to get stuck into meaningful work with a tangible environmental impact.
