Youre a Quality Engineer, so you already know that its not about ticking boxes.Considering making an application for this job Check all the details in this job description, and then click on Apply.Its about understanding why things are done the way they are.Its about questioning assumptions, noticing the detail others miss, knowing what matters and making sure the job gets done properly.As Quality Engineer, youll be part of a small, capable team in a company thats still evolving.The kind of place where people are working hard to improve systems, raise standards and strengthen the operation.Not perfect, theyll tell you that themselves.But heading in the right direction and looking for someone who can help shape what better looks like.This isnt a role for someone who needs time to grow into it.The teams lean, and they need a Quality Engineer whos already got that strong technical foundation.Someone from a mechanical or manufacturing background, ideally in metals.Someone who can get stuck in from day one and be effective.Youll sit between the Quality Manager and Senior Quality Inspector, no direct reports, but plenty of influence.Especially when it comes to mentoring others supporting the inspection team, engineering, helping pass on what youve learnt along the way.Youll be the one asking the right questions, reviewing certs and drawings, talking to goods-in, working with suppliers, checking the detail.Youll also be the steady hand when things arent quite right leading non-conformance investigations and helping the team resolve issues across both sites.This isnt about process for the sake of it.As a Quality Engineer, your view is that standards exist because they reflect best engineering practice not just to tick a box.Youll need to bring: A strong mechanical or engineering background In-depth knowledge of inspection, metrology and materials Confidence with hand tools, gauges and part inspection strategies A solid grasp of technical drawings Experience working with ISO 9001 (14001/45001 a bonus) Familiarity with MRP systems Exposure to DNV, Lloyds or similar certification standards A practical, sleeves-up mindset you deliver your own work, but help others along the way If youve started out as an Inspector, worked your way up, and still love being close to the product, this could be the perfect next step.The Quality Managers also looking for someone with exposure to process auditing and Health & Safety or at least the appetite to learn.Whats in it for you? 40,000 to 45,000 salary Monday to Thursday: 8am to 4.45pm, Friday: 8am to 12pm 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) Bonus scheme Employee-owned business when the company does well, you benefit too This role is exclusive to Marshall Harmony you wont be contacted by any third parties.If youd like more info or want to talk it through, send your CV to the email above.
