A Senior Project Manager earns 55k - 65k if not more. Why shouldnt a Senior Architect or Technologist? Well you can earn that. In fact, more so in a BR PD job, straight from an Architectural Practice. You can also enjoy promotions with pay rises, the money is better than the PMs from day one, the 9-5 lifestyle is there for the taking, and the Bonus, the Pension, the private health will be a great addition to the lifestyle change. You wont be wasting the years of experience, the education and skills youve built up by moving out of Architecture and going into the Building Regulations industry. This particular job is for someone with a little bit of experience in a BR PD role either in a practice or with another Consultancy. You dont need loads of experience, nobody has loads. Nobody has even taken a HRB all the way through the process yet. What you already know is valuable. More here, than it is in an Architectural team. This is a permanent client side advisory job. So you wont even be the actual duty holder like you would in a practice. You can ease yourself into the role that way. In the future when you are a duty holder, youll be ready. All of the perks and none of the risk. Its a very flexible job, where you can work from home, and come and go from the office as suits you. What youll be doing Ensuring submitted work from other disciplines are compliant with building regulations. Making sure that specifications are built and applied as designed. Managing and organising compliance. Advising the End User Client of their responsibilities and on Design decisions. Building a team that youll delegate to and manage. Soon youll be in full control of a P&L and everything else that comes with a thriving division of an established business. What youll need Senior Architect or Senior Architectural Technologist / Technician. Good general knowledge of Building Regulations, Accessibility, Fire Safety and sustainability. (If theres something you dont know, as long as you know where to look, thats fine. Nobody is expected to have a photographic memory). The ability to read drawings and apply Building Regs in principal. The ability to use (or learn to use) Trackers and spreadsheets to project manage and organise your projects. No CV?
