Job Description

Role Overview As a Customer Manager, you will be the linchpin between commercial strategy and client execution, owning the sales pipeline, leading tender submissions, and ensuring smooth handover to project teams. Youll be embedded in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where strategic coordination and responsiveness are vital to delivering excellent customer experiences and driving growth. Key Responsibilities Sales & Commercial Management Pipeline Ownership: Lead and maintain the sales pipeline, ensuring leads, prospects, and opportunities are actively tracked and advanced in line with company targets. Pricing & Proposals: Coordinate and deliver pricing strategies and tailored proposals swiftly and accurately to meet client expectations and market demands. CRM & Data Oversight CRM Administration: Drive CRM adoption company-wide. Maintain clean, accurate, and up-to-date records of all client interactions, bids, and outcomes. Sales Administration: Record all engagement metrics, lessons learned, and outcomes from tenders, ensuring data is actionable and reportable. Tender & Prequalification Leadership Tender Management: Oversee the end-to-end development of compelling, compliant, and on-brand tender submissions. Cross-Department Coordination: Work across commercial, operations, legal, and engineering teams to consolidate inputs and hit submission deadlines. Prequalification Submissions: Ensure timely, high-quality prequalification documents that reflect the companys credibility and capability. Client Relationship & Market Development Client Engagement: Own client communications from initial contact through tendering and post-project follow-up, ensuring professional consistency. Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities that align with business growth and strategic priorities. Relationship Building: Foster ongoing relationships with key accounts to encourage repeat business and client satisfaction. Operational Handover & Support Project Handover: Deliver clear and structured handover packages to project delivery teams following successful bids. Feedback Loop: Capture client feedback after delivery to inform ongoing improvement efforts. External Representation Event Participation: Represent the company at trade shows, client meetings, and networking events. Travel domestically and internationally as needed. What Were Looking For Proven experience in client-facing B2B roles (preferably within energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors). Strong knowledge of tendering processes and commercial proposal writing. Hands-on experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce). Comfortable working across departments and balancing competing priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-starter with proactive business development instincts.
