HGV Class 1 Driver Immediate Start | Temp to Perm Opportunities Location: Bicester, OX26 Schedule: Monday to Friday Start Time: Approx. 10:00 AM Pay: Standard Rate: 15.28 per hour Overtime Rate: 22.92 per hour Parity pay from day one We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional driver with a strong work ethic, excellent safety record, and commitment to high service standards. Temp-to-perm opportunities are available for suitable candidates. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Complete approximately 57 collections and 12 bulk deliveries per shift Scan and load all trailers prior to departure Operate a range of modern vehicles including MAN, DAF, and Mercedes (some with mirrorless systems) Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage in transit Maintain clear and accurate delivery records and logs Communicate effectively with the transport office and clients to ensure efficient scheduling Provide a high standard of customer service at all delivery and collection points Adhere to all road safety regulations and company procedures What to Expect: Start time approx. 10:00 AM Workdays: Monday to Friday only consistent daytime schedule Bulk loads physical fitness is essential Two-day on-the-job training with an experienced driver , similar to our 7.5T onboarding process Work includes PHV trailer handling Requirements: Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence Valid Driver CPC (held for at least 12 months) Proven experience in a similar HGV role; flatbed experience desirable Strong understanding of road transport safety standards Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks Excellent time management and independent working skills Confident using scanning systems and modern logistics apps Clean driving record preferred Apply Now: If youre a dependable HGV Class 1 Driver looking for a stable, well-paid role with modern vehicles and supportive training, we want to hear from you.
