Category Buyer | Food Brand | Surrey/London | HybridPlease read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.Up to 40,000 per annum + competitive bonus + private healthcareOverview:An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading food business who are looking to welcome a Category Buyer to their team. You will manage the full procurement process from sourcing all the way through to onboarding suppliers and managing those relationships. You will be responsible for analysing market trends and using the data to create and implement category strategy, inline with the wider business needs.You will directly liaise with stakeholders, using your influence to address and meet the needs of your category. You will also collaborate with the rest of the procurement team and other stakeholders to ensure success.What the role involves:Manage all stages of the procurement process from implementing strategy, to the tendering process, all the way through to supplier relationship management.Monitoring and rationalising the supplier base.Owning and managing key food categoriesNegotiating prices and terms with suppliers and manufacturers.The person we hope to find:Experience in Food procurement/sourcing, ideally within Grocery and/or DairyStrong analytical skillsStrong communication, and relationship management skillsKnowledge of retail or food industrySalary and Benefits:Up to 40,000 per annum + bonus schemeHybrid working modelDiscount on high street brands and holidaysCIPS sponsorship upon successful completion of probation periodIf you are a Buyer in the Food/FMCG/Retail space looking for a new challenge, I would love to hear from you!Please apply via the vacancy or send your CV directly to beth@talentdrive.co.uk
