Successful applicants will have past payroll experience, attention to detail, be a team player and able to work using own initiative. The successful candidate must have previous experience in the full end to end payroll process. You must be able to demonstrate a methodical and logical approach to your work and have confident time management skills. You must be an enthusiastic and committed individual with the ability to self-manage as well as being able to integrate into an established team. You will be working in a team who process payroll for in excess of 2500 staff - Both Monthly and Weekly paid staff. Location:Leeds, West YorkshireHours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to FridaySalary: 26,000-29,000 (depending on experience) per annumResponsibilities (but not limited to):Checking absence and holidays recorded on timesheet spreadsheets are recorded correctly on the HR system.Adjusting the timesheet spreadsheets to adhere to contractual payment terms prior upload to the payroll software.Processing starter, leaver adjustments and updates to contractual termsProcessing manual pay adjustments accuratelyIntegration of SSP between numerous working patternsEscalating payroll related queries to the appropriate line manager within processing timeframeReconciling the payroll to ensure data has been accurately processedProcessing Expenses and costing within the accountsIssue of P45s and third-party requests, adhering to GDPRReconciling payroll accounts towards monthly and year end auditsRecord keeping including fleet data recording to establish level of taxable benefit for P11D preparationAssisting with current projects to improve payroll processes.Assisting as necessary in general accounting duties when time allows.Experience and qualifications required for the role:Minimum of two years payroll experience with multiple pay frequenciesConfidence with verbal queries and email correspondenceCan do attitudeExcellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracyGood working knowledge of excelAbility to work under pressure, to tight deadlinesStrong understanding of requirements surrounding NMW, statutory payments and Auto EnrolmentAble to work on own initiative and as part of a teamManage time effectivelyCIPP qualifications are desirable, but we would consider supporting a personal development plan for the right candidateWhat we offer:24 days holiday (rising to 27 with length of service) + bank holidaysDeath in ServiceAuto enrolment pension scheme;Free onsite parkingThe Lanes Group plc comprises of a range of established service providers subsidiaries, which complement the specialist service of Lanes, by both work type and geography.
