We are looking for a Buyer/ Planner to join our prestigious key client in Sheffield on a fixed term contract for at least 12 months to cover Maternity Leave.If you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity, or are considering applying, then please read the following job information.Buyer Fixed Term 12 Month Contract - Sheffield Key Responsibilities:The Buyer will primarily be in charge of purchasing and procuring components and parts from suppliers ensuring all lead times are logged and parts/components arrive on time. Undertake all planning and scheduling of material requirements for production schedules and demandsMonitor stock and inventory levels reducing excess and tracking supplier performance levels to minimise backlog and provide support where necessaryUsing the companies MRP system deal with all material planning+Liaise with the Supply Chain team to check prices for different parts before creating the proposalKey Attributes:At least 3 years in a Buying or Purchasing role for an Engineering, Manufacturing or similar organisationIdeally experience sourcing components and parts previously Any Aerospace or Automotive knowledge would be beneficialCIPS qualification or working towards would be beneficial
