This is a hybrid role based in Preston, with some travel to site as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the civil engineering design process on water and wastewater treatment projectsProduce cost effective, buildable solutions that meet all spec and safety standardsCoordinate civil design with internal teams and external partnersProvide technical input and estimates to support proposals and bidsApply and improve standard design proceduresWrite and update efficient workflows and processesMentor junior staff and contribute to team developmentMaintain accurate design records throughout the project lifecycleConsider safety, environmental impact, and long-term cost in design decisionsWhat Youll NeedCivil Engineering degreeChartered or working towards itExperience in water and wastewater infrastructureAbility to lead teams and coordinate across disciplinesStrong understanding of multi-disciplinary interfaces (MEICA, process, etc.)Skilled in producing practical, efficient layoutsGood IT and design software skillsFull UK driving licenceThe CompanyThis is a major UK design and build contractor operating in the water sector.
