The team builds trusted relationships and works as an extension of each client’s business.The RoleA growing accountancy firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Supervisor/Manager to lead its internal payroll bureau function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of a variety of client payrolls while maintaining strong compliance and excellent service standards.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and process multiple payrolls across varied client types and sectorsMaintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with current legislationManage auto-enrolment duties and pension submissionsLiaise with HMRC on PAYE mattersTrain and support junior payroll staff as neededRecommend and implement process improvementsRequirements:Strong end-to-end payroll processing experience, ideally in a practice or bureau settingConfident with current payroll legislation and auto-enrolment requirementsExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsExperience with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, BrightPay, or similar)Strong communication and client relationship skillsBenefits:Competitive salary (based on experience)Flexible working optionsSupportive team culture with ongoing training opportunitiesConvenient Harrogate location
