Vickerstock are working in partnership with a large manufacturing/fabrication business on the appointment of a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager on a full-time permanent basis Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 3pm. As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for designing and executing supply chain strategies which will improve overall efficiency and enhance service levels as well as identifying supply chain risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions. In your new role:Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency and service levelsIdentify potential supply chain risks and establish mitigation plans to minimise disruptionsCollaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to maintain a seamless supply flow; analyse issues and develop effective, data-driven solutionsMonitor supplier performance against defined KPIs to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standardsEnsure full compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and environmental sustainability objectivesExecute cost-effective supply chain strategies aimed at reducing operational expenses without compromising qualityManage timely procurement and delivery of materials to align with project schedules and deadlinesCoordinate logistics activities with carriers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure smooth distributionWhat you will need to succeed:4 year's experience in a senior supply chain positionStrong procurement/purchasing background (ideally in construction or heavy manufacturing)Experience at a strategic level with prior team management experience an added bonusRelated degree or industry qualification, i.e., CIPS, APICS.
