Purpose:This position helps to lead the warehouse team by ensuring tasks are done in a timely manner, compliance to company policy and procedures and ensuring there is effective communication between departments.Location: Ontario Medical Supply, Scarborough Reports to: Warehouse Manager No. of Positions: 1 ATR: 4815 Type: Full time, Permanent Salary: Hourly, commensurate with experience Benefits: Yes Shift: Monday to Friday - 12:30pm to 21:00. Job Responsibilities:Lead: -Employee development, staff of approx. 15 -Direct staff to ensure timely processing of warehouse activities -Oversee the day-to-day activities of the receiving department -Ensure compliance with corporate and departmental policy and procedures -Ensure timely production and delivery requirements -Ensure the efficient and cost-effective use of delivery contractor services -Ensure safe working conditions -Actively communicate with various departments -Identity and action opportunities for improvement -Complete all required paperwork -Requirement to work weekends, holidays and eveningsPacker: -Pack medical supply orders with the proper packing supplies -Record and report damaged items -Maintain inventory records -Record and report internal use items -Complete all required paperwork -Perform general cleaning dutiesDispatch: -Assign daily delivery of parcels and coordinate run schedules -Perform general housekeeping duties -Relay messages and directives to delivery team -Report and escalate all delivery deficiencies to the appropriate department -Ensure all delivery documentation is complete/submitted in a timely manner -Assign deliveries to maximize fleet productivity Qualifications:-Completion of high school -Minimum 4 years full time working experience in a warehousing environment -Previous Management/Supervisory experience -Experience with computer dispatch systems -Background check is required -Health and safety awareness training is an asset Human Resources:While we thank you for your interest, only select applicants will be contacted regarding the position.Ontario Medical Supply is an inclusive and equal opportunity employer committed to providing diversity and accommodations for applicants upon request at any stage of the recruitment process in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
