It has just undergone a positive UKAS surveillance visit and is MHRA compliantHours of working: 37.5 hrs over 7 daysMain duties of the jobThe laboratory is an IBMS registered training laboratory.There is a strong training ethos in the department and as a Biomedical Scientist you will be given the opportunity for CPD.In your role you will undertake day to day analysis and validation of results, together with the monitoring of quality indicators. You will participate in out of hours shifts once trained and competent in the relevant areas. The Biochemistry laboratory has a managed service contract with Roche and is runs 2x Roche Cobas 8000 lines with associated preanalytical modules. The Biochemistry laboratory also has a Specialist Protein Section using Sebia and Binding Site systems.Good communications skills, teamwork and an aptitude for problem solving are essential, as is a flexible attitude to work and willingness to adapt to changes in working practice.
