Senior Power Electronics Engineer Wales Complex Drives & ControlsAre you a Power Electronics Engineer who wants to work on everything from 100W to 500kW?Want to get hands-on with Silicon Carbide, digital control systems, and cutting-edge testing facilities, all while working for one of the biggest names in motor and drive tech?Im working with a global engineering powerhouse who designs and manufactures electric motors and integrated control systems used across a range of industries: renewable energy, industrial automation, mining, air purification... basically anywhere theres a motor driving a system.Their tech is now being picked up by automotive and transport clients too, so theres plenty of variety and room to grow.Theyre looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join the team at their flagship site in Wales. Youd be involved in everything from initial concept through to final test, and will design both low and high-power systems using the latest power semi tech.Youll be responsible for:Full lifecycle design of power electronics hardwareWorking on critical power components and analogue/digital circuitsMaking sure designs meet EMC and safety regsBuilding prototypes, testing, iterating, improvingSupporting and mentoring junior engineers (if thats your thing)What theyre looking for:A degree in Electronics (or something similar)Industrial experience in power electronicsStrong understanding of topologies, switching devices, and control methodsSomeone comfortable experimenting, building, and testingA genuine interest in emerging tech and pushing boundariesTheyve got a brilliant setup, including a custom-built testing facility on site, a genuinely collaborative team, and a real mix of projects to get stuck into.
