Role OverviewApply now, read the job details by scrolling down Double check you have the necessary skills before sending an application.This role will provide essential support to the Group Salaries department during the Testing and Parallel Run phases of the HRIS Programme. It will involve backfilling critical daily payroll responsibilities across the entire payroll team prior to go-live.The position requires a high level of technical and organizational payroll processing ability beyond that of a standard Payroll Analyst. This enables the delegation of tasks from existing payroll team members, allowing them to focus on User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Parallel Runs, and training for the new HRIS system, Dayforce.Key ResponsibilitiesBackfilling daily tasks and responsibilities within the payroll team to free up capacity for UAT and Parallel Run activities.Monitoring and responding to enquiries in the shared payroll mailbox.Completing complex payroll calculations, including:Maternity PayLong-Term Sickness (LTS)Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)Leaver paymentsProcessing:Starters and leaversStatutory absencesAd hoc data changes across 14 payrolls, including 1 weekly payroll and 2 pensioner payrollsPension-related changes across the same payrollsFlexible benefit changes across all payrollsRaising ad hoc advances and processing third-party payments.Reviewing and checking team payroll processing for accuracy.Conducting system audits between HR and payroll systems.Performing month-end payroll controls prior to payroll release.Running and reviewing payroll reporting suites across all payrolls at month-end.
