Our ideal candidate will be someone who has a manufacturing/food background who is confident in leading teams to success. Whats the purpose of role:To be an active team member, ensuring that all work is complete according to Daily Work Schedule and that all information received is communicated to the right people in a timely manner and all Compliance standards met. To be actively involved and maintain an effective and productive team which focuses achievement on results and develops and sustains effective customer relationships.Who youll deal with:Internal: Bond Function Manager, other Shift Leaders, Bond and Flight employees, other units, Central Services Team at Manchester, support functions, Operation / General Manager.External: Airlines, HMC&E, CAA, auditors, contractorsWhat youll be doing:To ensure work is completed according to daily work schedule and all costs are within agreed targetsEnsuring the work schedule is maintained by shift taking effective corrective action as required highlighting on-going issues to the appropriate Shift Leader/Team ManagerManage the roster effectively on a shift basis to ensure the schedule is maintained remaining mindful of costsEnsure team members carry out duties in line with work scheduleEnsure standards of external and internal customer service are metDealing with all issues or customer requests in a timely manner, escalating any matters which cannot be resolved to the relevant managerAdhering to all legislation, company policy and customer requirements ensuring team members follow agreed proceduresCarrying out daily Compliance checks, appropriately communicating any issuesCarrying out daily PI count and investigating any resulting stock variancesEnsure housekeeping duties are being undertaken by team membersEnsuring safe working practices are maintained at all times including :Use of Personal Protective Equipment-Correct Manual Handling techniquesUse of equipmentBe familiar with all fire procedures within unit compliant with fire trainingAdhering to and ensure security regulations and procedures are being followedEnsure team members follow all agreed processes and proceduresEnsuring effective handover with colleagues to ensure issues are dealt with effectivelyEnsure training needs are identified and highlighted to the relevant Shift Leader and Team ManagerTaking initial appropriate action in the event of non conformance, communicating issues and concerns to the team manager on a daily, weekly and monthly basisCarrying out daily and weekly team briefings to ensure issues raised are communicated to your managerThis list is not exhaustive, accountabilities may vary dependant on locality or role complexity and may include any other duties considered reasonable by the line manager.What youll have:People management skills, e.g. dealing with performance issues, grievances, holidays, and absence managementBasic computer skills; Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelAbility to plan, organise and delegatePossess a high attention to detail and accuracyCommunication Skills must be able to communicate at all levelsAn understanding of health and safety regulations in relation to operationsAn understanding of Operational Management SystemsPossess a methodical and logical approach to workCurrent Airline Security knowledge
