Peterlee based manufacturing client needs a three-year direct experience contractor for a Material Planning Analyst role.Not sure what skills you will need for this opportunity Simply read the full description below to get a complete picture of candidate requirements.This is an onsite role in Peterlee, County Durham.The facilitys manufacturing activities use the latest computer analysis techniques, robotic technology, and a state-of-the-art paint plant. Machines from the site are shipped to customers around the world.You will collaborate with suppliers ensuring execution to planned orders and schedules, resolving issues with suppliers, ensure material availability for facility production.You will bring these skills and experienceLean Manufacturing - 6 Sigma project management principlesAPICS or other Supply Chain qualification advantageousCollege or university degree, or equivalent, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics ManagementFamiliar with material planning systems and conceptsProven ability to schedule and expedite partsSelf-motivated and able to operate within a team environmentYour ResponsibilitiesUses MRP and supplier collaboration technologies to collaborate with suppliers and operations to plan delivery of material for production and regulate inventory levels.Timely delivery of materials to the facility, collaborating with suppliers to coordinate delivery and shipping schedules to meet facility production plans.Collaborating with suppliers to resolve supplier delivery issues and improve point of use availability, identifying and applying root cause corrections actions where necessary.Supporting supply chain performance efforts by monitoring and tracking supplier performance metrics.Delivering improvements in point of use material availabilityProviding clear accurate communication, both verbal and written as appropriate, with all partners both internally and externallyIf this sounds like you, then do apply and we can discuss.
