Green Data Talent is partnered up with a leader in power generation and renewable energy, who are currently in the market for an Electrical Design Engineer.The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design of high voltage electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance across a variety of projects.ResponsibilitiesDesign and development of HV electrical systems and HV equipment (from concept to detailed design).Preparation of single-line diagrams (SLDs), protection schematics, layouts, and cable calculations.Ensure designs comply with IEC, BS, and relevant national standards.Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to review and optimize designs.Participate in factory acceptance testing.Support project engineers and site teams during installation and commissioning phasesPrepare technical documentation, design reports, and client submissions.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Masters is advantageous).Proven design experience in high voltage or power system design (11kV132kV).Proficiency in the use of E-Plan or similar design software, for the creation of electrical circuit diagrams.Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD for the creation of 2D drawings.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.Due to the nature of projects, possession of or being capable of obtaining SC level security clearance is non-negotiable.This is an exciting opportunity for Electrical Design Engineers with HV experience who are interested in being part of a unique project.
