They are now seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead their design function from project inception through to installation support.This is a hybrid role based out of Reading, ideal for someone with a strong background in the faades or building envelope sector, looking to take ownership of design management across multiple projects.Key Responsibilities:Manage and lead the design process for roofing and cladding packagesOversee a team of design technicians, CAD operatives, and external consultantsInterpret architectural and structural drawings to develop detailed design solutionsEnsure all designs comply with building regs, fire safety, and client specsProduce and review detailed construction drawings, schedules, and material specificationsCoordinate design information with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliersProvide technical support to site teams and resolve design-related queries during installRequirements:Proven experience in roofing and cladding design, ideally within faades or the wider building envelope sectorStrong technical knowledge of systems and materialsProficient in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)Familiar with current Building Regulations, relevant standards, and fire performance criteriaExcellent communication and organisational skillsConfident managing multiple project deadlinesThis is a brilliant opportunity for a technically-minded and commercially aware Design Manager to join a growing business with a solid pipeline.
