Chief Executive North East, England £65,000 to £75,000 Permanent, full time Our client is one of the highest performing members of the national Citizens Advice network. Each year, they support over 38,000 people with nearly 191,000 issues, from debt and benefits to housing and employment, ensuring everyone has access to free, confidential and impartial advice. Following the retirement of their long-serving Chief Executive, our client is now seeking a values-led, forward-thinking leader to guide the organisation into its next chapter. With a team of 70 paid staff, 30 volunteers and an annual turnover of £3.4 million, this is a rare opportunity to shape the future of one of the UK’s leading local advice charities. The Chief Executive will oversee the delivery of the organisation’s strategy, ensure strong governance, and continue to build relationships both locally and nationally while maintaining best in class service delivery. To be successful, you will bring Proven senior leadership experience in a complex, multi-channel organisation, ideally within the advice or wider charitable sectorA track record of strategic planning and operational delivery with the ability to lead and inspire diverse teams of staff and volunteersStrong financial acumen with experience managing large, multi-funder budgetsExperience of successful income generation and fundraising through contracts, grants or partnershipsExcellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to advocate for service users at local and national levelsThis is a pivotal role in ensuring our client continues to meet the evolving needs of the community and remains a sector leader in innovation and impact.
