Optegra has an exciting new job opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Technician or HCA (Band 3) with ward or theatre experience, ideally gained in Ophthalmology, to join our supportive team at our private Brighton Eye Hospital. Collaborate with optometrists for outpatient consultations and pre-assessment.Key responsibilities:Deliver high-quality patient care throughout their visitCoordinate with clinical and patient services staff for smooth operationsPerform diagnostic tests such as Biometry, OCT, AScan, Visual fields, Pentacam, VA, IOP, TopographySupport patients on surgery days with effective communicationHandle patient enquiries and refer to medical practitioners when necessaryProvide basic health promotion advice related to ophthalmic surgeryAssist with pre and postoperative patient care within your competenceRequirementsNVQ Level 2/3 or equivalentExperience in healthcare or ophthalmic sectorBasic Life Support certificationHighly organized with good planning and flexibilityAttention to detail and ability to work under pressureIf you are interested, please apply promptly as the vacancy may close once sufficient applications are received.
