Liaison with other professionals in the school will be a key part of the role, including teaching staff. The post-holder will undertake various tasks under the supervision of the clinical psychologist and have regular opportunities for professional development.Some of the key duties includeSupport the collection, scoring and analysis of outcome measures (e.g. using Microsoft Forms), including pupil, parent and staff feedback. Collate and analyse service data to support quality improvement and evaluation. Assist with audits, service development projects and outcome monitoring under supervision Carry out observations of pupils across structured and unstructured settings to support psychological understanding and formulation. Administer and score standardised psychological assessments (e.g. cognitive, emotional and behavioural measures), adapting sensitively to student needs. Co-facilitate therapeutic or skills based group interventions in collaboration with education staff. Support the delivery of training to schools staff on topics such as autism, anxiety, emotional regulation or trauma informed approaches.Skills and experience requiredThe successful candidate will have a 21 undergraduate degree in Psychology Previous experience as an assistant psychologist and working with children, ideally in a special educational needs/mental health setting You will be confident working with children directly, as well as with professionals and families You will have a good understanding of ethical practice and the psychological principles which underpin our interventions e.g. attachment and learning theoriesWhat’s on offer?Training and DevelopmentWithin Aurora, we strongly believe that learning and development should not be limited to just the children and young people we support.
