Responsibilities: Lead and inspire the PMO team, supporting the Programme Manager in building a high-performing project workforce—from recruitment and development to deployment and reassignment. Champion governance excellence by ensuring robust structures are in place and coordinating key assurance activities, such as Gateway Reviews, at critical project milestones. Support the Programme Manager in shaping compelling Business Cases, drawing on insights from subject matter experts to build strong foundations for success. Drive change with confidence by establishing clear protocols for managing scope changes and keeping configuration documentation accurate and up to date. Establish project and programme level controls to enable monitoring, evaluation and reporting to inform decision making. Embed a proactive risk culture by setting the standards and processes for identifying, managing, and mitigating risks and issues across the project life-cycle. You’ll bring experience in leading a PMO team, managing small to medium-sized projects, or driving delivery as a work-stream lead on large-scale programmes. Exceptional communication skills are essential. You’ll be working collaboratively across teams and engaging with a broad and diverse range of stakeholders—so the ability to communicate clearly, influence effectively, and build strong relationships is key to your success. Candidates should hold a recognised Project or Portfolio Management qualification, such as APM or PMQ (or equivalent). Please clearly detail any relevant qualifications in your supporting statement.
